Alo is doubling down on its men’s performance category, expanding beyond yoga and studio apparel through partnerships with star NFL quarterback Joe Burrow and NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler. The collaborations represent a continued evolution for the Los Angeles–based brand, which is positioning itself at the intersection of sport, recovery and lifestyle.

Launched October 13, Alo’s latest campaign with Joe Burrow introduces a collection that reimagines the brand’s men’s staples through a performance lens. The line includes elevated versions of Alo’s Conquer series, featuring soft but durable fabrics designed to handle high-intensity training. The campaign highlights Burrow’s personal approach to preparation through pieces that move seamlessly from the field to travel days.

“Tunnel looks have become a way to express identity,” Burrow said. “For me, it’s about confidence and feeling grounded before stepping into competition—that’s why these pieces resonate.”

The collection features the Renown Varsity Jacket, Torrent Overshirt and 7” Conquer React Performance Short, alongside the Double Take Collection, a streetwear-inspired capsule. Styled with the Alo’s Recovery Mode Sneaker, Burrow’s looks blur the line between on and off the field style.

Earlier this month, Alo and Jimmy Butler introduced the brand’s first sneaker collaboration: the Alo x Jimmy Butler Recovery Mode Sneaker, available exclusively online and at Alo Sanctuaries in Beverly Hills, Valley Fair, and the Miami Design District.

Priced at $275, the launch marks Alo’s entry into performance footwear and signals its broader expansion into men’s athletic categories. The Recovery Mode Sneaker was designed with input from Butler to address the needs of athletes during recovery periods, incorporating materials aimed at improving comfort, support, and temperature regulation after training. The minimalist silhouette and construction emphasize functionality, using lightweight, breathable components suited for both post-workout wear and everyday use. The collaboration reflects Alo’s continued move toward technical performance products and its alignment with professional athletes to validate the brand’s presence in the performance and recovery market.

That evolution reflects Alo’s broader repositioning as it moves beyond apparel into a more comprehensive vision of wellness. Earlier this fall, the company rebranded its digital fitness platform “Alo Moves” to “Alo Wellness Club,” aligning its in-person studios and digital offerings under a single identity.

With Wellness Clubs in Los Angeles, New York and Seoul, and a growing library of on-demand classes, Alo is working to grow its community beyond just apparel. The brand’s expansion into skincare, supplements and performance wear suggests a shift toward building an ecosystem.

The Alo x Joe Burrow collection launched October 13 online while the Alo x Jimmy Butler Recovery Mode Sneaker is also available online and at select Alo Sanctuaries.
