The WNBA’s dildo problem continued on Thursday night with not one but two sex toys thrown, making their way to courtside during the Chicago Sky vs Atlanta Dream game at Wintrust Arena.

First, it was the popular green dildo that hit the Dream’s bench. Then, with just seconds left in the game, a purple-colored version landed on the court.
Thursday’s incidents bring the total number of dildos that landed on a WNBA court to five, in which case the league might want to declare it an epidemic.
A crypto group has claimed responsibility for the acts
But before the latest dildo-throwing incidents took place, a group of Crypto enthusiasts claimed responsibility for the ‘attacks.’ According to a report from USA Today, the group created a meme coin called Green Dildo Coin to protest the current ‘toxic’ environment in the crypto world.

“We didn’t do this because, like, we dislike women’s sports or, like, some of the narratives that are trending right now are ridiculous,” the group’s spokesman said. “Creating disruption at games is like, it happens in every single sport, right? We’ve seen it in the NFL, we’ve seen it in hockey, you know . . . fans doing random things to more or less create attention.”
ESPN also claims to have interviewed a group member who uses the name “Lt. Daldo Raine” on his “X” account. It’s unclear if this is the same person who was interviewed by USA Today, but his message was pretty similar.
“It was more or less like an opportunistic approach to, you know, what is already trending,” he said. “Where is there already controversy, and how do we intercept some of that attention? We wanted to really make memes funny again.”

Two arrests have been made so far
So far, authorities have made two arrests in connection with the WNBA’s dildo epidemic. 23-year-old Delbert Carver was arrested by police on August 1 and has been charged with throwing the first dildo on July 29 during a Valkyries vs Dream game in Atlanta. Carver told the police in his arresting affidavit that the incident was a joke that was supposed to go viral.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Kaden Lopez was arrested this week after a failed attempt to throw a green sex toy during a Phoenix Mercury game last August 5. Lopez’s throw came up short, and it hit a 9-year-old child. He told the police that he bought the dildo the day before the game and hid it in his jacket pocket. Like Carver, he called it a stupid prank he pulled to become viral. But the story does not end there.

The crypto group spokesman denied that Carver was a member of their group and claimed he was not the real thrower. Meanwhile, after the latest dildo incidents on Thursday night, two people were questioned by the police. It’s unclear if the two are part of the crypto group that claimed responsibility for the dildo-throwing incidents around the league. And so now, the plot has even thickened.
