A reboot of the hit USA drama “Suits,” called “Suits: LA,” will bow on NBC this winter.
The broadcast and cable networks as well as the top streamers have a slew of 2025 new shows coming in winter and spring. That includes the much-anticipated follow-up to Suits, the new Suits: LA, which will bow on NBC more than a year and half after the USA drama became a huge hit on Netflix. The new programs also feature other familiar faces, such as retired NFL star Jason Kelce getting a late-night program on ESPN and Disney+ rebooting the popular Daredevil franchise that originated on Netflix. Other new shows coming in 2025 include an offshoot of the Scamanda podcast for primetime and a Jon Hamm drama on AppleTV+ called Your Friends & Neighbors. It should be a banner year for new TV shows.
The Most-Anticipated 2025 New Shows
A number of new shows feature popular actors taking on new roles. Sterling K. Brown, who has won three Emmys, stars in Hulu’s Paradise, which reunites him with This Is Us’s Dan Fogelman. Brown plays the head of security for a murdered U.S. president (played by James Marsden).
Netflix scored a huge get by wooing Robert DeNiro to his first major TV role. He plays a former U.S. president looking into a cyberattack in Zero Day. On broadcast, Tom Hanks lends his voice to NBC’s prestige documentary The Americas.
And most of the original stars return for Disney+’s new Daredevil, which first aired on Netflix in 2015. In the nearly 10 years since, Marvel shows migrated to the Disney platform thanks to corporate synergy.
Shonda Rhimes has a new show out in 2025, too, as part of her blockbuster Netflix deal. The Residence features Uzo Aduba as the detective in a murder mystery, with a cast that also includes Randall Park and Giancarlo Esposito.
AppleTV+ also has two well-recognized actors in new programs. Seth Rogen stars in The Studio, while Jon Hamm takes the lead in Neighbors.
