Texas-Sized Wellness: Therme Group Plans US Debut in Dallas

From family fun to adult-only sanctuaries, Therme Dallas is ready to become the ultimate urban wellness experience for all

Dallas, Texas, could become home to Therme Group’s first U.S. venture: an urban well-being hub featuring thermal baths, saunas, mineral pools, waterslides, swim-up bars and an abundance of greenery.

All that’s needed to move forward is approval from the City of Dallas, according to Therme Group, which says it has spent a year engaging with the community, elected officials and city leaders.

“Therme Group is proud to bring its vision for accessible, world-class well-being to the U.S.,” Therme Group CEO Robert Hanea said. “With our deep expertise in creating Europe’s most-visited well-being destinations, we see Dallas as the perfect place to introduce our concept—one that will provide an unparalleled experience for residents and visitors while contributing to the city’s economic and social vitality. We are grateful to the City of Dallas for welcoming this vision, and we look forward to making Therme Dallas a transformative space for the community.”

Although the concept is certainly family-friendly with an abundance of activities for children, adults can enjoy kid-free spaces for relaxation and wellness treatments.

Council member Jesse Moreno of District 2 stated that Dallas is a city of opportunity, pointing out its central location, business-friendly climate and diverse population. The project is expected to generate more than $1.8 billion in tax revenue over the first 30 years, with $1.1 billion in local tax revenue and more than $700 million in state tax revenues redirected to the City through the Project Finance Zone, according to the group.

“Therme will contribute greatly to the economic growth in District 2 and quality of life improvements in our City,” he continued. “I look forward to working with Therme as they engage with community members and stakeholders in the coming months.”

The group emphasized that Therme Dallas will be accessible through “attainable price points” — and indicated that Dallas is just the beginning.

“Dallas is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the U.S., making it the perfect city to debut Therme’s first U.S. location,” Therme Group U.S. CEO John Alschuler said. “As we expand to the U.S. as well as globally, we are prioritizing cities like Dallas that embrace innovation and long-term growth. Therme Dallas will be more than a destination—it will be a new model for urban well-being, offering residents and visitors a space that fosters vitality, community connection and a deep integration with the city’s unique culture.”

Therme Group has plans for ten projects across the country over the coming years, including Washington, D.C., fueled by a joint venture with The Georgetown Company, a real estate developer and owner of commercial, retail and mixed-use properties. On a global scale, The Georgetown Company is securing third-party investments for future Therme projects worldwide, with active developments already underway in Dubai, Manchester, Frankfurt and Toronto.
