Talkspace and Tia Health join forces to make mental health a core part of women’s primary care
Talkspace is scaling its presence in women’s mental health care.
The online behavioral health company has announced a partnership with Tia Health, a primary care provider for women, to bring therapy and psychiatric services into the full spectrum of care offered across Tia’s network.
Under the agreement, Talkspace will become Tia’s primary therapy and psychiatric partner. Its licensed clinicians will collaborate with Tia’s primary care teams to support women across all life stages, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
“By integrating our services directly into primary care, we’re removing barriers and creating a more holistic approach to women’s wellness,” Talkspace chief medical officer Dr. Nikole Benders-Hadi said. “This builds on our work with women’s health coalitions and adds more opportunities for people to find mental health services.”
The partnership arrives amid growing concern over women’s mental health, with Talkspace citing a recent JAMA report that found the mental health of mothers in the U.S. declined significantly from 2016 to 2023, while menopause has been linked to increased rates of depression and anxiety.

Tia, which has served more than 100,000 women through its hybrid clinics and digital services in six states, has long offered psychiatric medication support. But the new collaboration marks a meaningful expansion into talk therapy, a critical need among patients that often goes unmet in traditional primary care.
“We believe that mental health is foundational to women’s overall health and must be integrated seamlessly into each individual’s care plan — not operate as a separate service,” Tia Health cofounder and CEO Felicity Yost said. “From adolescence to menopause and beyond, women face distinct emotional and psychological needs that too often go unaddressed in traditional primary care. Partnering with Talkspace allows us to integrate high-quality mental health care into every stage of the patient journey, fulfilling our mission to deliver whole-person, whole-life care for women.”
The collaboration deepens Talkspace’s investment in women’s health. Last year, the company joined forces with Ovia Health by Labcorp to co-launch the Women’s Health Coalition for Digital Solutions and partnered with Evernow, a digital platform delivering care for women navigating menopause and perimenopause.
