Peptides are replacing poolside lounging as SHA Mexico adds targeted therapies for energy and longevity
SHA Mexico, a high-end health and longevity resort with locations on Spain’s Mediterranean coast, the Mexican Caribbean and a third destination set to open in the UAE in 2027 , is tapping into two of 2025’s biggest wellness trends: peptides and personalization.
Its latest offering gives guests access to guided peptide therapy in a luxury resort setting, targeting inflammation, metabolic health, hormonal balance and cognitive performance while reflecting the shift in wellness tourism from relaxing by the pool with a good book to pursuing results-driven health optimization.
Peptides have become one of the buzziest health trends of the year, hailed for their potential to boost energy, sharpen focus and slow signs of aging. Best described as short chains of amino acids, they act like messengers in the body and are increasingly used in personalized wellness plans by biohackers and longevity-focused consumers to promote overall vitality.

“Peptides represent one of the most promising frontiers in revitalizing and preventive medicine,” said Dr. Belegui Sanchez, head of the Revitalizing Medicine Health Unit at SHA Mexico. “At SHA, guests are invited to awaken their full regenerative potential—not through a one-time treatment, but through an immersive, science-led journey that combines cutting-edge therapies with long-term lifestyle transformation.”

Instead of offering peptide therapy as a standalone treatment, SHA is positioning it as one component within its broader health programs and is available exclusively as an add-on to existing SHA Mexico programs.
Access requires a comprehensive medical intake, including lab testing and functional diagnostics, with protocols tailored to each guest’s biology and goals.
SHA offers a range of hyper-personalized health programs spanning detox, weight optimization, stress relief, cognitive enhancement and healthy aging. Signature offerings include Advanced Longevity, Detox & Optimal Weight and Leader’s Performance, with stays ranging from four to seven nights. Guests can also layer on specialized packs focused on gut health, sleep, hormonal balance and cognitive function.

“SHA believes in and teaches its guests to adopt a way of living that incorporates key elements of a healthy lifestyle—essential to sustaining and amplifying these benefits,” Dr. Sanchez said. “Peptides enable us to act at the cellular level, enhancing the body’s natural ability to repair and optimize itself—helping our guests feel better, perform stronger and live longer.”
As peptides gain traction, their reach is expanding beyond the clinic format and into unexpected corners of the fitness and wellness world. Even pickleball is mingling with peptides. DUPR, the global pickleball rating system, has recently partnered with digital health platform Vita Bella to offer players access to personalized peptide therapies designed to enhance muscle recovery, hormonal balance and longevity. Telehealth platform Hims & Hers is also entering the peptide space, acquiring a U.S.-based peptide facility earlier this year to support its personalized treatment offerings.
