Samsung Expands Fitness Reach With New Partnerships

The tech giant is growing its fitness footprint, expanding an existing content partnership with iFIT and striking a new deal to sync its Samsung Health data to True Fitness equipment

Samsung Health, the health and wellness arm of Samsung Electronics, is expanding its fitness presence with new partnership moves.

The first comes with iFIT, which will partner with Samsung Health to distribute its curated library of connected fitness content.

As part of the agreement, Samsung users will have immediate access to iFIT’s instructor-led workouts, with a variety of modalities available including HIIT, strength training, barre, yoga, Pilates and mindfulness. While users watch the workouts, they’ll be able to track their heart rate and calories in real-time as well.

“Personalized wellness is the future, and together with Samsung Health, we’re empowering millions of people to live healthier, more balanced lives,” iFIT chief subscription and content officer Jeremy McCarty said.

The new deal expands upon the sides’ existing partnership, which the brands solidified earlier this year.

Prior to this phase, Samsung users could only access iFIT’s content for a $9.99/month subscription, but now Galaxy users can take advantage of exclusive discounts and extended access through new devices purchased online

Those include 30 days free with a qualifying Galaxy smartphone, three months free with Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and six months free with Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic or Galaxy Watch Ultra.

“Our science-backed fitness content—led by world-class trainers and spanning every modality—helps people achieve real results and reach their fitness goals,” McCarty added. “We’re excited to bring this experience to the vast Samsung ecosystem, and through our new promotion, Galaxy users can enjoy exclusive access and extended trials of iFIT workouts when purchasing select Samsung devices.”

Samsung isn’t stopping there; in collaboration with fitness equipment supplier True Fitness, the tech giant is bringing health tracking and connectivity to its True Unite consoles.

The deal allows True Fitness equipment users to sync workouts and data directly with the Samsung Health platform. Cardio sessions will automatically log to their Samsung Health accounts, while consolidating crucial fitness metrics like steps, sleep and nutrition into one place.

“Partnering with Samsung Health allows us to deliver a connected fitness experience that extends beyond the gym floor,” said True Fitness technology manager Jacob Griesenauer. “Our Unite consoles are designed to put exercisers at the center of their fitness journey, and this integration ensures their workouts contribute directly to their broader health and wellness goals.”
