There are always a few songs that manage to hang around the Hot 100 for an impressive amount of time, but it’s rare to see three major hits by brand new acts all reach the one-year mark at the same time. This week, a trio of breakout smashes celebrate 52 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100, the ranking of the most-consumed tracks in the U.S. That milestone is already tough to achieve, but for three relative newcomers to accomplish it simultaneously? That’s nearly unheard of.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” Is Still a Top 10 Staple

The best-performing of the three long-running singles is “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey, which is still holding on in the top 10 even as it marks its fifty-second frame on the Hot 100. This week, the country smash slips just slightly, from No. 4 to No. 6. That’s an incredibly lofty placement for a tune that’s been present on the tally for an entire year.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” didn’t just become a hit, it changed the conversation around what country music can sound like. The viral favorite tied the all-time record for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Hot 100, racking up 19 frames in charge. That puts it right next to only one other song: “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X.

Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” is Climbing

Not far behind Shaboozey is Sabrina Carpenter with her own major win, “Espresso.” The energized pop cut is on the rise once again, climbing from No. 20 to No. 17 this week as it makes it to a full year on the Hot 100. That kind of continued growth after 12 months is unusual, and it suggests that this track still has some gas left in the tank.

Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” Barely Holds On

Just making the cut this week is Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!,” which remains inside the top 40 by the slimmest of margins. The emotional anthem slides from No. 37 to No. 39 in its fifty-second week on the Hot 100. That placement might not look spectacular on paper, but staying anywhere on the ranking for a full year is a win in itself — especially for a track that never topped the list.

All Three Songs Launched Grammy-Nominated Stars

Amazingly, all three of these songs didn’t just give their creators chart hits, they helped launch them into full-blown stardom. Shaboozey, Carpenter, and Roan were all nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s Grammy Awards – Roan took the prize home – and they also competed in several other categories.

Only one of the three cuts, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” managed to hit No. 1 on the Hot 100. “Espresso” climbed as high as No. 3, while “Good Luck, Babe!” topped out at No. 4. So while not all of them ruled the Hot 100, they’ve each done something arguably more impressive: they’ve stuck around.
