From gyms to meal kits, several brands are supporting the American Heart Association this month

High-value, low-cost fitness franchise Retro Fitness is hosting Give A Heart donation-based classes at select clubs from February 14 to February 28 in honor of Heart Health Month.

All proceeds from the classes will benefit the American Heart Association’s Life Is Why campaign, which funds efforts to fight cardiovascular disease. According to data published in the Association’s journal, Circulation, more than six in ten U.S. adults (61%) are projected to develop some form of cardiovascular disease within the next 30 years.

In addition to Retro Fitness, Daily Harvest is also supporting the mission of the American Heart Association. The healthy meal delivery company created a special Love Your Heart collection with fifteen heart-healthy meals and snacks that meet the American Heart Association’s guidelines.

Heart rate-based boutique fitness franchise Orangetheory has been one of the top ten Life Is Why fundraisers since 2019 and has raised more than $2.5 million for the American Heart Association. During Heart Health Month, Orangetheory invites members to take a 90-minute donation class.

“Our supporters’ collaboration with the American Heart Association’s Life Is Why campaign demonstrates the power of working together to create meaningful change in heart and brain health,” said Bruce Fisher of the American Heart Association Orange County. “This will help fund critical research and enable us to reach more communities with life-saving initiatives. Together, we are making strides towards a healthier future for everyone.”
