Next Health Acquires Lindora From Xponential Fitness

Xponential is returning to its boutique fitness heritage, trimming its portfolio to five brands as Next Health looks to build a longevity empire

Boutique fitness franchisor Xponential Fitness has divested from Lindora, the medical weight-loss and wellness chain it picked up last year, with Next Health, a fast-growing franchisor of health optimization and longevity centers, acquiring the brand.

The move comes on the heels of Xponential’s divestiture of Rumble Boxing and CycleBar, which were acquired by Extraordinary Brands in July. With the latest transaction, Xponential trims its portfolio to five brands: Club Pilates, Pure Barre, YogaSix, BFT and StretchLab. In early 2024, Xponential had 11 brands in its portfolio.

“The Lindora divestiture will allow Xponential to focus the company’s time and capital on our core fitness modalities with the greatest impact to our profitability,” Xponential CEO Mike Nuzzo said. “We are confident that for Lindora franchisees, the transaction represents a compelling opportunity to become a part of one of the leading health optimization organizations in the world.”

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Nuzzo, who previously led a turnaround at Eyemart Express and brings deep experience scaling consumer brands, was appointed last month, succeeding former Xponential CEO Mark King.

For Next Health, the acquisition represents a major brand addition to its ambitious expansion push. Founded in 2016 by Dr. Darshan Shah, the health optimization and longevity brand is attempting to rewire how people approach healthcare with what it calls “proactive healthcare,” a model focused on prevention and disease reversal rather than treatment.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lindora franchisees to our family,” Dr. Shah said. “We believe Next Health, a franchise company with an established medical infrastructure and a pioneer in longevity and personalized health, will be able to offer Lindora franchisees best-in-class support and franchisor services.”

Next Health has sold more than 70 franchise units and has previously said it plans to open 150 U.S. locations by 2027, with international growth also on the horizon. Its flagship offering, a $14,500 “Executive Physical,” tracks more than 1,000 biomarkers, offering full-body MRIs, advanced bloodwork and early cancer screenings. According to the company, nearly four in ten patients uncover life-altering conditions through the process.

“We’re at the beginning of changing how healthcare functions in this country,” Dr. Shah told Athletech News earlier this year. “There needs to be 1,000 Next Healths.”

Next Health will continue to support both new and existing Lindora locations under the Lindora brand, it said.
