UFC 314 seems to be in the advanced stages from a card-completion standpoint.
While we’re still waiting on two potentially huge shoes to drop with an Ilia Topuria-Alexander Volkanovski rematch as the main event and a possible Bo Nickal-Paulo Costa meeting on the main card, the nine fights reportedly signed have us interested in the April 12 PPV at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
The latest addition is a middleweight scrap featuring Sedriques Dumas taking on Michal Oleksiejczuk, per Octagon Update and confirmed on Tapology.
The 29-year-old Dumas earned his spot on the roster with a submission win over Matěj Peňáz in August 2022 on Dana White Contender Series.

Since breaking into the main roster, Dumas has gone 3-2. He’s athletic and well-rounded, but has struggled to take complete control of fights.
Oleksiejczuk, also 29, is a rugged fighter from Poland whose career has hit a snag. He’s taken three straight definitive losses. Most recently, he was completely outclassed by Shara Magomedov in August 2024.

In total, he has lost to four of his last five opponents. He’s had tough competition over that stretch with the losses coming to Caio Borralho, Michel Pereira, Kevin Holland and Magomedov.
On paper, the fight with Dumas should be a step down in competition. All that means is there will be a ton of pressure on Oleksiejczuk to avoid the dreaded four-fight losing streak. Another loss could put his back against the wall as it pertains to remaining in the UFC.
That’s the tough but compelling part about every UFC event. There are fighters scraping to stay on the roster and those looking to push themselves into title contention or to defend or win championships.

Even if Topuria-Volkanovski II doesn’t land on the card as Nickal leaked, you have to think the UFC is going to add a legit title fight as the main event. With all due respect to Pantoja and Kara France, rarely will you see the UFC sit tight with a flyweight championship bout as the main event.
It happened at UFC 310 in December 2024, but that was only because Belal Muhammad had to pull out of his fight against Shavkat Rahkmonov. Expect a major fight to take the main event spot and for Pantoja-Kara France to be the co-main event.
