Momentous and Maui Nui Partnership 2025- Athletech News

The mission-aligned brands collaborate on a new product launch that channels consumer engagement into a measurable community benefit

Performance nutrition company Momentous has announced a strategic partnership with Maui Nui Venison, a Hawai‘i-based sustainable meat producer, to introduce a new product that connects consumer demand with community impact. The collaboration includes the launch of a Passion Orange Guava (POG) flavor of Momentous’ Fuel supplement, with proceeds supporting Maui Nui’s Holo ‘Ai program, a food-sharing initiative addressing food insecurity on the island of Maui.

The POG flavor marks a deliberate alignment of mission and product: for every carton sold, $10 will be donated to Holo ‘Ai, which has already distributed more than 800,000 meals to underserved communities. Momentous is targeting a $200,000 contribution by the end of 2025, equating to approximately 160,000 additional meals, nearly one for every resident on the island.

The partnership highlights a growing model in the wellness and nutrition industries: product innovation tied directly to measurable social and environmental outcomes. Momentous, which supplies performance supplements to over 200 professional and collegiate teams, as well as the U.S. military, brings a science-backed approach to human performance. Maui Nui, by contrast, works at the intersection of food systems and environmental restoration, managing the island’s overpopulation of invasive Axis deer through a proprietary wild-harvesting method that prioritizes ecological balance and food access.

“Born first from a friendship and mutual admiration, this partnership reflects a shared obligation to create impact,” said Jeff Byers, Co-Founder and CEO of Momentous. “At Momentous, our role is to fuel performance with products grounded in science and integrity. For Maui Nui, it’s about regenerative practices that nourish both the land and the community. This collaboration is proof that businesses with aligned values can amplify their impact through coordinated action.”

For Maui Nui, the collaboration also underscores the real-world utility of performance nutrition. “The work we do demands physical intensity every night,” said Jake Muise, CEO of Maui Nui Venison. “Momentous has become an essential part of our team’s ability to operate at that level. But what makes this partnership unique is that it extends beyond performance—it addresses health and sustainability at a systems level.”

The Fuel product line is formulated for prolonged or high-intensity exertion, with a carbohydrate-electrolyte profile designed to deliver sustained energy while minimizing gastrointestinal distress. The new POG flavor, inspired by local Hawaiian tastes, joins the existing range alongside a new Mango variant and previous offerings Strawberry Lime and Cherry Berry. Each carton includes 10 single-serve pouches and retails for $29.95.
