Taylor Swift’s albums are soaring on charts around the world this week after the singer-songwriter announced that she has finally gained control over the masters to her early work. Every title in her catalog is benefiting from the exciting news, but none seem to have attracted the ardor of her legion of fans quite like Reputation.
In the U.K., the project nearly returned to the top of the charts, and it narrowly misses out on the No. 1 spot as interest in the set explodes.
Reputation Nearly Misses Hitting No. 1
Reputation reappears on the Official Albums Download chart at No. 2. It’s blocked from reclaiming the throne on the list of the most-downloaded projects in the nation by Something Beautiful, the latest full-length by Miley Cyrus. That project kicks off its time on two of the five rankings on which it debuts at No. 1.
Taylor Swift Has Already Reached No. 1
While Reputation just barely misses out on landing at No. 1 on the Official Albums Download chart this week, it has previously spent time in the penthouse. The electronic-leaning effort opened in that position in November 2017, when it was brand new.
Since then, Reputation has racked up a total of 75 stays on the 100-spot roster, three of which have been inside the top 10 — though it hasn’t been seen in that region since December 2017, just a few frames after it arrived.
Reputation Soars on the U.K. Charts
Reputation is currently present on half a dozen charts in the U.K., and it lives inside the top 10 on four of them. The set reappears on four rankings, bolting from No. 70 to No. 7 on the Official Albums chart, the main ranking of the most consumed projects in the country. It also finds its way back to the uppermost tier on the Official Albums Sales roster at No. 6 and the Official Physical Albums list at No. 10.
Reputation Misses the Top 10 on Only a Few Charts
Reputation only misses the top 10 on the Official Albums Streaming and Official Vinyl Albums charts, landing at Nos. 12 and 14, respectively. The hit-packed project climbs dozens of spaces on the streaming-only roster, but has to reappear on the vinyl tally, as sales of the set had dwindled in recent years after Swift made clear that she was no longer supporting consumption of the effort until she got around to recording Reputation (Taylor’s Version) — something that may never arrive at this point.
