McLaren Racing is continuing its push as a leading luxury brand, not just as a Formula 1 team.
The Britain-based reigning Formula 1 constructor championship-winning team announced on Thursday a brand-new partnership with Loop, a luxury hearing-protection brand. For the first time, Loop is partnering with a Formula 1 team, debuting the McLaren Formula 1 Team x Loop 2 earplugs, which will help protect hearing at races, all while not losing the feel of hearing racecars roaring by.

Racing, said. “Both Loop Earplugs and McLaren Racing share a passion for
precision design and this collaboration brings something truly unique to both our
team and our fans.”
The Belgian firm is the latest luxury brand to partner with a Formula 1 team. Lululemon recently partnered with Lewis Hamilton, Givenchy with Pierre Gasly, Louis Vuitton is now a title partner and Elemis joined Aston Martin Aramco.
On the McLaren side, this is just the latest of a plethora of partners that the Zak Brown-run team has signed. The team has formed unique, strategic partnerships, including having Google Chrome on the team’s rims, a major partnership with OKX, a Mastercard partnership and much more.
The new Loop Switch 2 partnership with McLaren Racing is the firm’s first in motor sports.
Formula 1 races are known to be loud, with peak levels nearing 140 decibels. To be exposed to such loud sounds consistently for three to four hours can cause significant hearing damage.
With the quiet mode on these earplugs, the Loop technology is designed for a tranquil recovery, enabling race fans to still enjoy the roar of the engines while preventing hearing damage.
“Dimitri and I have always loved motorsports, so teaming up with McLaren was a full-circle moment,” Loop co-founder Maarten Bodewes said. “F1 is one of the loudest, most intense environments out there, grandstands can hit over 110 decibels. McLaren Racing is off to a strong start to the 2025 season following its 2024 constructor title. The team has swept the opening two races of the year, with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri both winning a race.
