Life Time, the upscale athletic country club operator that is bullish on longevity and supplements, sees a new white space: Idaho
The state is now home to its first Life Time, located in Eagle, near Boise. The new location joins the brand’s 190 athletic country clubs spanning 32 states and Canada, with new locations opening this year in markets including Florida, Arizona and the Chicago suburbs.
It’s just the beginning of Life Time’s plans for Idaho, according to the operator, with additional locations, including Meridian, in the pipeline.
While Boise-area members had access to Life Time’s first phase last year (which included the racquet sports complex), the full buildout is now open. The 135,000-square-foot club features five boutique-style studios offering roughly 100 weekly group classes across yoga, barre, Pilates and other formats, plus small-group training spaces, including CTR, Life Time’s new Core Tone Reform class.
There is also a recovery floor equipped with a CryoLounge, HydroMassage, Normatec compression, cold plunges and additional recovery modalities.
Beyond its workout floors, Life Time Eagle includes an outdoor beach club with a lap pool, leisure pool and resort-style seating, a Kids Academy, LifeCafe and a bar and lounge for social gathering opportunities.
“We’re proud to bring our signature programs, beach club, expert coaching and community-driven experiences to the Boise area, and we see tremendous opportunity to continue expanding Life Time’s healthy way of life ecosystem across the region in the years ahead,” Life Time president of club operations and chief property development officer Parham Javaheri said.
Life Time isn’t the only operator investing in Idaho, particularly in the Treasure Valley area.
In December, family-owned Villa Sport acquired six Crunch Fitness clubs in the Boise area, while actor and fitness entrepreneur Mark Wahlberg also announced plans to bring his luxury gym concept, Municipal Gym, to the region.
