Andor
While the social media embargo lifted a few days ago, full reviews have gone live over the past day for Andor season 2 ahead of tonight’s three-episode premiere. And what we’re seeing are takes ranging from the idea that this is the best Disney Star Wars content ever made, possible even the best overall Star Wars content ever made, or the best show on TV period, Star Wars or not.
As it stands, Andor season 2 has a 98% “certified fresh” critic score on Rotten Tomatoes from dozens of critics. I thought perhaps it worth contrasting that with literally every other Star Wars thing ever made, because why not? And guess what? Mathematically at least, it is the best. Here we go:

So, that’s every live-action project. If you want to get into animation, those are high-scoring, for the most part. Star Wars Visions, the animated anthology, has a 96% and 100% across its two seasons. Star Wars: The Clone Wars has reviews ranging from 69% to a number of 100%s, albeit many of these have a very low number of reviews in. Rebels has 92% to three seasons of 100%s, though again, the caveat being some seasons have say, 10 total reviews in as opposed to dozens or hundreds like the larger scale projects.
For live-action, however, Andor season 2 is on top. You may dispute many of those ratings (is A New Hope really the same level of quality of The Force Awakens? Come on), but from what we have here, the math has Andor as the best Star Wars content of all time. And you know what, that may actually be true. We will all find out later tonight as this season gets started, and we can see if it lives up to the hype. I absolutely believe it will.
