Thor’s Day is upon us, and we have another grid to solve and more words to uncover. Yesterday’s was hard! Today is a bit easier, but still a good challenge. Let’s get right to it!
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

Hint #1: Think of a word you might put in front of another word.
Hint #2: Specifically a word you might put in front of words like “mouth” or “shot”.

I swear, this Strands was way harder for me than it should have been but I’ve just been super tired the last couple days and my brain is not functioning properly or something. Finally, I found FOOT and BIRD down in the right corner and realized this was all about words that combined with the word BIG. But even then, some of these were tough to find, like LEAGUES. I found PICTURE and CHEESE and at this point I was able to tease out BIGSTUFF and get the spangram. BREAK and SPENDER came next and finally LEAGUES last. Kind of a tough one!
