The filtration system is designed to reduce common tap water contaminants such as chlorine, heavy metals and sediment, which can strip natural oils from the skin and hair, contribute to dryness and irritation and leave buildup on the scalp over time.
At the center of the device is a red light ring that emits light at two wavelengths. The showerhead uses red light at 650 nanometers and near infrared light at 850 nanometers. These wavelengths are engineered to deliver effective exposure from a safe distance while you shower.

As someone not particularly handy, installation was far easier than I thought it would be. I replaced my existing showerhead using the tools provided in the box. Installation only took around 10 minutes.
Once the device is running, the light ring emits a warm red glow. In addition to its red light therapy benefits, I found that the showerhead elevated my morning routine into a calming relaxation ritual, as opposed to a quick rinse before starting my day.
The filtration component was arguably the most immediately noticeable feature. Filtered water can leave hair feeling softer and skin less dry, particularly for people living in cities with harder or heavily treated water. I found that showering with filtered water had a noticeable impact on my hair as someone living in New York City: it felt much softer and healthier.

The effectiveness of at-home tools can vary widely.
