Haliey Welch has a lot to talk about.
The 22-year-old social media star announced the return of her Talk Tuah podcast, which was on hiatus amid her cryptocurrency scandal that caused her to step out of the spotlight just as quickly as she entered it.
Now, Welch — who’s widely known as “Hawk Tuah Girl,” first turning heads for her quirky sex tip that went viral in June 2024 — is relaunching her podcast on April 8, approximately four months after the release of her last episode on Dec. 3.
The episode was titled, “How to Avoid Getting Cancelled,” which was ironic given the events that unfolded for the content creator the very next day.
Welch launched a crypto meme coin, $HAWK, on Dec. 4 that crashed within 24 hours. She faced accusations that it was a scam as a result, followed by a legal entanglement that reportedly didn’t involve the influencer herself.

The coin’s creators were accused by investors of unlawfully promoting and selling the cryptocurrency that was never properly registered with the Security and Exchanges Commission (SEC) in a lawsuit that doesn’t name Welch, reported NBC News on Dec. 20.
At the time, Welch said she was “fully cooperating” with attorneys who were representing people affected by the crypto meme coin crash. On March 27, her lawyer James Sallah shared an update with TMZ.
“The SEC closed the investigation without making any findings against, or seeking any monetary sanctions from, Haliey. Because they did not bring any action against her, there are no restrictions on what she can do in regards to crypto or securities in the future,” he told the outlet.

News of Welch’s return to the podcasting world was announced on Tuesday, April 1. Her company, 16 Minutes, will oversee all facets of Talk Tuah, ending her partnership with the Jake Paul-founded Betr Holdings, Inc.
“Haliey Welch and Betr Holdings, Inc. have mutually agreed to end their partnership regarding the Talk Tuah podcast and wish each other well in their future endeavors,” the companies shared in a joint statement, per Vulture.
Talk Tuah’s relaunch marks “the start of a new chapter for Welch in reclaiming her voice,” per the release. Episodes will span topics across entertainment, comedy and pop culture.

In addition to Welch’s podcast relaunch, it was announced that she will be the subject of an upcoming documentary developed by Emmy-winning production company Bungalow Media + Entertainment.
It will explore her wild trajectory from unknown to instant meme after the video she appeared in went viral, as reported by Deadline.
