GymGuyz is scaling its mobile and at-home personal training franchise biz across the Middle East, with at least 80 new territories planned to meet the region’s growing demand for fitness

GymGuyz, a leading mobile and at-home personal training franchise, has just mapped its boldest route yet, straight into the Middle East’s fast-growing wellness economy, following a master franchise deal with Bait Al Batterjee Group (BAB) to expand into Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Morocco.

The agreement marks one of the brand’s most ambitious international expansions to date, with at least 80 new territories planned across Saudi Arabia and the UAE alone.

Expansion will begin in Saudi Arabia in 2026, with the UAE, Egypt and Morocco to follow.

BAB, led by president and vice chairman Makarem Batterjee, who is also a judge on “Shark Tank Arabia,” brings deep experience in health and wellness development across the region. The group has launched and operated more than 20 Gold’s Gym locations in Saudi Arabia and oversees over 25 subsidiaries with 12,000 employees.

“GymGuyz represents the future of fitness; agile, technology-driven and deeply personal,” Batterjee said. “The demand for convenient, results-focused wellness solutions has never been higher in our region, and this partnership allows us to meet that demand at scale. We’re shaping a healthier, more empowered future for communities across the Middle East and North Africa.”

The planned expansion into the four regions also extends GymGuyz’s footprint beyond its existing markets in the U.S., the U.K. and Canada.

“The Bait Al Batterjee Group brings unmatched experience, integrity and regional expertise – exactly the kind of partner we want as we expand into one of the world’s fastest-growing markets,” GymGuyz founder and CEO Josh York said. “Together, we’re bringing world-class, personalized fitness directly to people’s doorsteps, and we’re just getting started.”

The Middle East’s Fitness Market Is Red Hot

The deal comes as the Middle East emerges as one of the hottest fitness markets, with global franchises, investors and operators racing to meet demand for fitness and wellness experiences.

Earlier this year, boxing and strength brand UBX planted its flag in Dubai Marina, while Lift Brands reacquired the Snap Fitness master franchise for the UAE, with plans to open dozens of new clubs.

In May, Hotworx made its Dubai debut with its 24-hour infrared training concept, and this summer, premium reformer brand BodyBase opened its first international franchise inside the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, combining luxury hospitality and high-intensity reformer training. Anytime Fitness also has big plans in the Middle East under parent company Purpose Brands.
