Garmin enters the endurance event space with a branded marathon series backed by Brooks, Dexcom and Therabody
Garmin is teaming up with leading wellness and performance brands to bolster its first-ever Garmin Marathon Series, announcing Tuesday that Brooks, Dexcom, Maurten, Shokz and Therabody will support the events with products, activations and recovery services.
The partnerships mark a broader push by Garmin to deepen its presence in endurance sports. The inaugural races will take place this fall in Toledo, Ohio and Tucson, Arizona, offering four distances: a Boston Marathon–qualifying full marathon, a USATF-certified half marathon, 10K and 5K.
“As leaders in their respective fields, these brands are the ideal collaborators to enrich the signature experience we’re creating for the Garmin Marathon Series,” Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing Susan Lyman said. “Each brings something unique to our events, whether they’re engaging with runners at the two-day expo, providing support on the course or helping finishers recover and celebrate after the race.”

Participants in the Garmin Marathon Series will receive a branded Brooks running shirt and have access to Maurten’s performance gels at on-course aid stations. Open-ear listening brand Shokz will activate a cheer zone and demo its headphones, while Therabody will provide hands-on recovery support and exclusive offers on devices. Dexcom will highlight its glucose biosensors at the event, tying into the broader trend of metabolic health tracking among endurance athletes.
Registration for the Garmin Marathon Series is currently open for all race distances in Toledo and Tucson.
The launch of Garmin’s race series comes on the heels of its acquisition of Mylaps, a Dutch company specializing in integrated timing, live tracking and performance analysis tools for athletes.
“We are excited to bring Mylaps and their trusted timing technologies into the Garmin family and believe the combination will transform the competitive experience for our passionate customers,” Garmin co-chief operating officer Brad Trenkle said. “Together, we look forward to setting a new standard for performance-focused training and race-day technology.”
