Formula E is back in the United States this weekend for the Miami E-Prix, the series’ first event at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
On Thursday, the growing electric racing series announced a groundbreaking STEM partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, known as PIF. Driving Force Presented by PIF is launching in America, Britain and Saudi Arabia, the two partners announced. This is part of a larger E360
“Since introducing the PIF E360 partnership last year, Formula E and PIF continue to
look for opportunities to make a positive, real-world impact,” Alejandro Agag, founder and chairman of Formula E, Extreme H and E1, said in a statement. “Driving Force Presented by PIF is an example of how PIF is not only elevating motorsports but also inspiring the next generation of talent through STEM education which plays a crucial role in inspiring future motorsport talent in sustainable mobility and green technology.”
The new initiative boasts a multi-dimensional learning program, which debuted at the Keys Gate Charter School with Formula E drivers David Beckmann and Jamie Chadwick. The program will enhance access and opportunities for students to explore STEM careers in motor sports and sustainability efforts.
Students between the ages of 8 and 18 will learn about the future of mobility via interactive workshops, hands-on learning experiences, as well as digital resources focused on STEM education. One of the program’s goals is to impact more than 50,000 students. The program was piloted last year in Jeddah and Thursday’s event marked the official launch of the global effort.
PIF is also a partner in advancing electric mobility via partnerships with Extreme H and E1 electric powerboat racing.

“PIF is committed to supercharging the growth and transformation of electric motorsport and through our partnership with E360, we are collaborating with our partners to accelerate progress, maximize impact, and deliver powerful unified programs,” Mohammed Alsayyad, PIF’s head of corporate brand, said. “For the first time, we are bringing together Formula E, Extreme H and E1 to expand the Driving Force program and drive transformative impact by empowering youth who are the innovators of tomorrow.”
In addition to the new program, PIF also announced it is starting “Supercharged,” a campaign to drive innovation through E360.
The Formula E Miami Grand Prix takes the green flag on Saturday at 2 p.m.
