Exploring Growth Opportunities with Lindora in the Longevity-Focused Market

As the wellness industry pivots toward longevity and metabolic health, Lindora’s medically-guided approach is carving a unique path for franchisees eager to tap into this growing demand

Last year, Xponential Fitness, the leading franchisor of boutique fitness brands, acquired Lindora, a 53-year-old metabolic health company specializing in weight-loss medications, hormone replacement therapy and IV hydration services. This marked a significant moment for Xponential, moving beyond its fitness-focused portfolio to include a medically-guided wellness brand.

With the market increasingly focused on longevity and proactive health solutions, Lindora is positioned to address the growing demand for metabolic health services. Under Xponential’s guidance, the franchise opportunity has grown rapidly, securing nearly 100 territories in less than a year.

Lindora’s expansion comes at a pivotal time, as consumers seek sustainable solutions to combat obesity, optimize metabolic health, and enhance longevity. Athletech News spoke with Martin Balcaitis, Lindora’s President, to explore how Lindora’s unique offerings and Xponential’s franchising expertise are creating exciting opportunities for franchisees nationwide.

Athletech News (ATN): Lindora has a long history of success. Why do you think now is the right time for the brand to expand?

Martin Balcaitis (MB): The timing couldn’t be better. There’s a significant shift in the market as consumers focus more on longevity and overall wellness. People aren’t just looking for quick fixes anymore—they’re seeking solutions that will improve their health over the long term. Lindora has been addressing metabolic health for 53 years, so we’re uniquely positioned to meet this demand.

With Xponential’s franchising expertise, we’ve been able to accelerate our growth and launch franchise opportunities quickly, securing nearly 100 territories across the U.S. in just nine months. It’s a rare combination: a proven brand with decades of success and a growing demand for metabolic health services.

ATN: What role does Xponential Fitness play in scaling Lindora’s operations?

MB: Xponential has a proven track record of scaling boutique fitness brands globally, and they’ve applied that expertise to Lindora seamlessly. That said, Lindora is different from our other brands because it’s a medically-guided business, requiring us to adapt. For instance, instead of sourcing yoga mats and T-shirts, we’re now sourcing medications and ensuring compliance with state medical regulations.

Xponential has created a support system specifically for Lindora, blending the knowledge of long-time Lindora employees with their own franchise operations team. This ensures that franchisees have everything they need to succeed, from operational guidance to medical sourcing.

ATN: How has the focus on longevity shaped Lindora’s franchise opportunity?

MB: Longevity is at the heart of everything we do. Our services—weight-loss coaching and medications, nutrition guidance and plans, hormone replacement therapy, and IV hydration—are all about addressing the root causes of metabolic health issues, which directly impact long-term wellness.

We’re finding that many franchisees from Xponential’s fitness brands are interested in Lindora because it complements their existing portfolios. For example, members at Club Pilates, YogaSix, or Pure Barre might seek medically-guided weight loss or metabolic health services, creating cross-promotional opportunities.

ATN: What challenges have you faced in entering the medically-guided wellness space, and how are you addressing them?

MB: Entering the healthcare space has been an exciting challenge. One of the biggest hurdles is navigating state-specific medical regulations and ensuring we have the right infrastructure in place. To simplify this for franchisees, we’ve secured world-class vendors to handle medication sourcing and compliance, so owners can focus on running their businesses.

Another adjustment is in the physical footprint of our locations. Lindora clinics require multiple treatment rooms, which differs from the open-space layouts of most fitness studios. Fortunately, Xponential’s expertise in building functional yet cost-effective spaces has allowed us to create clinics that feel high-end without being overly expensive to develop.

ATN: What kind of franchisees are you looking for to drive Lindora’s growth?

MB: You don’t need a medical background to own a Lindora franchise. We help franchisees hire and train medical directors and clinical staff, so what we’re really looking for are individuals who are passionate about helping others improve their health and lead a team.

It’s that passion, combined with Xponential’s robust support system, that leads to success. We’re very selective about awarding territories, ensuring franchisees align with our mission of improving lives through metabolic health.

ATN: How do you see Lindora evolving under the Xponential umbrella?

MB: We’re just scratching the surface of Lindora’s potential. The market for longevity-focused services is growing rapidly, and Lindora is uniquely positioned to lead this space. With Xponential’s proven franchise formula and Lindora’s strong foundation, we’re confident the brand will scale and become a leader in the wellness industry.

We’ve already seen synergies with our other brands, like Club Pilates and YogaSix, where Lindora adds value by addressing the medical side of health and wellness. As we continue to evolve, we’re focused on making the franchise model as simple as possible while maintaining the high-quality care Lindora is known for.

ATN: Any final thoughts on why this is a great growth opportunity for franchisees?

MB: This is a unique moment in time. Longevity and metabolic health are more relevant than ever, and Lindora offers franchisees the chance to tap into a proven, high-demand market. With Xponential’s support, we’ve made it easy for franchisees to succeed in this space, from sourcing medications to navigating regulations.

At the end of the day, our goal is to partner with franchisees who share our passion for helping people live longer, healthier lives—and that’s exactly what Lindora is all about.
