The company’s newest rower refines its original design with upgraded hardware and a focus on immersive, game-based training
Ergatta has unveiled the Luxe Rower, a next-generation model that builds on the brand’s original connected rower with design and technology upgrades.
Handcrafted from American cherrywood in partnership with WaterRower in Rhode Island, the Luxe highlights Ergatta’s goal to create fitness equipment that blends seamlessly into the home while offering a high-performance experience.
“The Ergatta Luxe is the most immersive and elegant rower we’ve ever created,” said Ergatta co-founder and CEO Tom Aulet. “We designed it for those who want the very best of both form and function: a fitness device that’s as beautiful as it is technically advanced. It’s a blend of American craftsmanship, advanced technology, and the uniquely compelling digital fitness experience Ergatta is known for.”
The Luxe introduces several key upgrades: a 21-inch HD display, high-fidelity speakers, and an ergonomically redesigned 17-inch handlebar for smoother, more natural movement. The optional Hi-Rise Kit raises the frame for easier access, while the cherrywood frame retains Ergatta’s furniture-inspired aesthetic.
At the center of the Luxe experience is Ergatta’s game-based software, which transforms rowing into an interactive, adaptive experience. Through a mix of challenges, races, and scenic rows, workouts are calibrated to each user’s fitness level and progress. The platform’s performance tracking and adaptive algorithms encourage consistency while maintaining a sense of play and competition.
The Luxe replaces the brand’s original model as Ergatta’s new flagship, joining the more affordable Ergatta Lite in its lineup. It’s available now in the United States and Canada via ergatta.com, retailing for $2,499 with a launch price of $1,999.
The debut of the Luxe also builds on a year of major expansions for the company. Earlier this year, Ergatta partnered with CityRow to introduce instructor-led classes to its platform, complementing its game-based programs with coach-guided workouts focused on form, endurance, and mobility. The integration followed WaterRower’s acquisition of CityRow and marked a strategic move toward more comprehensive, hybrid content.
Most recently, Ergatta signed a multiyear partnership with World Rowing, the international governing body of the sport, becoming its preferred partner for gaming and esports initiatives. Through this collaboration, Ergatta will help power global competitions and installations, including the World Rowing Championships and the Virtual Sports Forum in Japan, and is expected to play a role in the inaugural Olympic Esports Games in 2027.
