The hospitality arm of Equinox is opening a new resort in Anguilla’s Port Nimara, which follows news of another planned launch in Saudi Arabia
Equinox Hotels is bringing its premium spa and hospitality offerings to the Caribbean for the first time with the opening of Equinox Resort Anguilla Port Nimara.
To be located at the southwest end of the island of Anguilla, the planned resort will lie on privately owned land between the Cap Juluca and Altamer estates, with direct beachfront access and a 118-berth marina suitable for vessels up to 240+ feet
The resort will house 62 rooms, including 18 oceanfront villas, 18 upland villas and 35 Equinox residences.
Resort guests will also have access to an Equinox fitness club, a healthy dining concept, The Spa by Equinox Hotels and luxury shopping. Additionally, a promenade filled with upscale restaurants and bars will connect the marina to the hotel amenities and nearby beach.
“We are thrilled to bring our unique approach to luxury performance hospitality to North America and the Caribbean,” said Equinox Hotels CEO Christopher Norton.
“Our expansion into these regions reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence,” Norton added. “We are dedicated to creating spaces that combine urban sophistication with resort excitement, providing our guests with unparalleled experiences that align with their high-performance lifestyles.”
The new destination adds to Equinox Hotels’ flagship NYC location and its global expansion goals, which include a resort planned to open in Saudi Arabia.

As fitness and wellness brands lean into hospitality and tourism, hospitality brands are in turn pushing further into wellness. The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman just announced the reopening of its spa in the Cayman Islands following renovations and a transformation of its offerings to keep up with current wellness trends.
The upgraded facility now features 16 treatment rooms and an upgraded hydrotherapy area with four cold plunge pools, revitalized saunas, steam rooms and relaxation lounges. Its massage and facial tables now incorporate vibroacoustic technology to synchronize sound and vibration to enhance relaxation and meditation.
Guests at the new spa will also be greeted by on-site wellness coaches before arrival to build individualized treatments for the duration of their stay.
