While Echelon is saying goodbye to its UK instructors, it’s launching a new global studio and adding five instructors as part of a broader effort to streamline live class schedules
Echelon is turning the page with a global expansion strategy that includes the launch of a new studio, the addition of five new global instructors and the closure of its London-based studio, the connected fitness brand confirmed Monday in an email to members.
As part of the shift, Echelon will sunset its UK instructor-led programming in favor of a centralized global schedule, a decision the company says will make it easier to offer more consistent live class schedules across time zones and enhance the member experience.
“Their impact has been extraordinary, and while they may be stepping away from live classes, their workouts will continue to be available on demand in the app—always just a tap away,” the brand wrote of its outgoing UK instructors.

The timing of the announcement follows a recent platform security push by Echelon, which introduces jailbreak detection technology to guard against unauthorized app access.
While the location of Echelon’s new studio hasn’t been disclosed, the company says it will reveal the site soon and plans to drop clues and sneak peeks on its social media channels.
In the meantime, Echelon has launched a transition blog outlining what members can expect in the coming weeks, how the company is supporting users throughout the change and when to catch the final live classes from its UK instructors. The final live sessions, branded as a “Farewell Tour,” kick off Friday, September 5. The blog also includes a growing FAQ section that will be updated as new details are confirmed.
To build momentum around what it calls a new chapter “as one global community,” Echelon is also planning a Global Celebration Week featuring a platform-wide challenge, special classes and prizes.
The shift comes as Echelon continues to reshape itself into more than just a connected equipment brand. In recent months, the company has expanded into AI-driven personalization through a partnership with Amazon Web Services and rolled out a generative AI platform designed to tailor workouts to each user’s goals and preferences, acquired FlexIt (now Echelon Coach) and Fortë (now Elevate by Echelon) and launched a telehealth platform, ActiveMD.
