Set to open in 2026, the new Connecticut location will be DanceBody’s first outside of a major city. The Katia Pryce-founded brand already has a presence in NYC, Miami and LA
DanceBody, which has been successful in bringing its energizing workout to New York City and gained traction in the Hamptons with summer pop-ups, is now bringing its signature workout to Westport, Connecticut, in 2026.
Adding to DanceBody’s locations in NYC, Miami and Los Angeles, the Westport studio will be the first to introduce the brand’s dance-focused classes to a suburban audience.
“New York City isn’t the only place seeking high-quality, boutique fitness; suburbs throughout Connecticut, New Jersey, and Long Island are eager to reconnect with the workouts they love from the city,” said CEO and founder of DanceBody, professional dancer Katia Pryce.
“This is just the first step in meeting them where they are and weaving the DanceBody experience back into their everyday routine,” she added.
DanceBody classes are a blend of full-body movement, coordination, strength and endurance centered around choreographed, dance-inspired movement.
Pryce started the modality after longing for a workout that combined functional strength and cardio, which catered to the fitness demands of professional dancers. There are additional workouts for those who are less dance-adept, though, like Sculpt and HIIT.
While DanceBody offers on-demand virtual classes that can help foster community, with features like two-way cameras and chat features to break down barriers between at-home and in-studio clients, Pryce underscored the value of an in-person studio for people to gather and engage with the workout.
“Post-COVID, so many of our loyal New York clients were scattered to the suburbs of Connecticut, New Jersey and Long Island,” Pryce said.
“The screen is a great bridge, but it isn’t enough. People, especially women, need community,” she continued. “That third space outside their home or work that brings like-minded people together. It’s powerful and the best way to connect — movement is truly our medicine.”
