ClassPass has partnered with D1 Training, an athletic training franchise serving fitness consumers of all ages, giving ClassPass members access to D1 Training’s expert coaching.
Founded by former NFL player Will Bartholomew in 2001, D1 Training offers full-body workouts in 54-minute sessions that center on fat-burning, strength building and mobility and offers online coaching, scholastic training, pro training and adult programming.
The national fitness brand’s partnership with ClassPass follows its recent acquisition of Strive Village, a chain of private training facilities in the Chicago area that is meant to bolster D1’s adult training business, as consumers are increasingly requesting coach-led private one-on-one and semi-private small groups, Bartholomew told Athletech News this month.
For ClassPass, adding D1 Training to its fitness and wellness platform aligns well with meeting users’ needs, considering the increased interest in strength training and mobility-enhancing practices.

In addition to acquiring Strive Village, D1 Training also recently onboarded Elliot Capner, a former F45 executive, as it looks to ramp up its national expansion efforts.
Now serving as D1 Training‘s chief commercial officer, Capner noted that the ClassPass partnership marks an exciting milestone for the growing fitness brand.
