Crunch Fitness is opening a 24,000-square-foot gym set this fall in Brunswick, Ohio. The expansion is led by franchisee Fit Fusion, LLC, which operates seven locations nationwide and plans to open additional gyms in Ohio and Illinois this year.
Crunch Brunswick will offer power half-hour circuit training, personal training, a dedicated group fitness studio, Hot Yoga, Ride cycling classes, TRX, a functional training area with indoor turf, tanning, HydroMassage beds, a stretching zone, red light therapy and full-service locker rooms with showers and a sauna.
“We are excited to bring this Crunch location to life in Brunswick and become an integral part of the fitness and business community here,” Fit Fusion vice president of marketing Erik Johnson said. “We plan to bring one to two more locations to the Great Cleveland area soon.”
Crunch Brunswick will be located at 3289 Center Road.
To kick off the upcoming opening, Crunch Brunswick is offering the first 500 founding members a $1 enrollment and their first month free, along with a chance to win one of three one-year memberships. Founding members will also receive a complimentary t-shirt and discounts on small group and personal training.
The Brunswick gym is also on the hunt for general managers, member service reps, group fitness instructors and personal trainers.
Last month, the HVLP fitness franchise announced a strategic investment from Leonard Green & Partners, a private equity investment firm that is acquiring a majority interest in Crunch from TPG Growth and Crunch’s minority shareholders. Crunch is also headed to India, having signed a master franchise agreement that will bring at least 75 Crunch Fitness gyms to the country in the coming years.
