The Chris Hemsworth-founded brand is getting in on the women’s strength training boom: its latest app-based series, guided by trainer Alex Silver-Fagan, pairs strength progression with mindful movement
It’s no longer just about looking strong; it’s about feeling it. That’s the mindset behind “The Foundation,” a new women’s strength program from Centr, the Chris Hemsworth-founded fitness brand.
The 12-week series, led by strength trainer Alex Silver-Fagan, is built around mindful movement and progressive training to help women build muscle definition and confidence, amid a growing interest in strength training that’s not-so-quietly overtaking cardio as the go-to workout.
The program, which is now available, features three core strength sessions per week plus optional mobility and conditioning days. The series is structured across four progressive phases, from mastering movement patterns to peaking under heavier weights.
The new offering comes as the global fitness app market, valued at $13.78 billion in 2020, is projected to top $120 billion by 2030, according to a report from Allied Market Research.

‘“At Centr, we help people build strength that lasts,” Centr CEO Andrew Sugerman said. “The Foundation gives members a clear, intentional path to start strength training or build upon their strength. The program is a great way to fuse building power, getting toned and lower-impact mobility work with Alex’s renowned expertise in yoga and training with purpose.”
The Foundation integrates Centr’s strength equipment line, including kettlebells, dumbbells, a bench and Olympic barbell set.
Centr isn’t the only brand tapping into the women’s strength training boom. This month, Pvolve and A-lister Jennifer Aniston launched the Longevity Bundle, a resistance-based program designed to help women build strength, protect bone health and maintain metabolism as they age.
Meanwhile, smart home fitness brand Tonal recently introduced a reformer-inspired Pilates experience led by celebrity trainer Kristin McGee that combines Pilates with adaptive resistance. Fitness influencer and Alani Nu co-founder Katy Hearn also joined the mix this summer with the launch of Sesh Foundations, a free four-week strength program for women on her Sesh app.
While Centr expands its reach with The Foundation, the brand is also deepening its footprint in performance training. Last month, it teamed up with Red Bull on the Unbroken Training Program, a 12-week add-on designed to help athletes complete one of Hyrox’s most brutal finish-line feats: 100 wall balls.
