Group fitness leader Burn Boot Camp mobilized more than 300 locations to raise nearly half a million dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Burn Boot Camp has raised $465,500 through its ninth annual “Be Their Muscle” campaign, supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s research, care programs and summer camps. The fundraising push was backed by franchise partners, team members, trainers and members across its national network.

The fundraiser, held April 12 across more than 300 Burn Boot Camp locations, marked a show of strength for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which has supported people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases for 75 years. New to this year’s campaign was a kid-focused Hop-a-thon where members under 13 joined the cause with a two-minute jump challenge to raise both funds and awareness.

“This campaign is one of the most inspiring times of the year, as our Members and team come together to uplift a community that truly needs our strength,” Burn Boot Camp CEO and co-founder Morgan Kline said. “When two missions built on community and empowerment unite, we create unstoppable momentum. Together, we’re not just raising funds; we’re changing lives and helping people with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and many other neuromuscular diseases live longer and more independently.”

In St. Louis, Burn Boot Camp brought its high-energy format outdoors, hosting a community workout at Energizer Park that drew hundreds of members and supporters. The $25 donation-powered event featured a bodyweight conditioning session, live music and a Kids Camp to rally support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

“Morgan and Devan Kline have been champions for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s mission since the very beginning,” Muscular Dystrophy Association chief development officer Ruth Ann Dailey said. “Long before Burn Boot Camp became a national movement, they were volunteering as counselors at MDA Summer Camp, connecting with families and experiencing the heart of our work firsthand. Nearly a decade later, their dedication has grown into a powerful legacy of support that continues to uplift and empower the families we serve nationwide. As we celebrate MDA’s 75th anniversary, their leadership through the ‘Be Their Muscle’ campaign exemplifies the momentum and progress we’ve built over generations, and we’re so grateful for their partnership! They’ve rallied an extraordinary community that shares their passion for strength, unity and hope.”
