BTS Singer Jin Blocked From A New No. 1

BTS’s Jin debuts at No. 2 on the iTunes Top Albums chart with Echo, as lead single “Don’t Say You … More Love Me” nears the top 10 on the songs list. Jin waited longer than any of his BTS bandmates to go solo. He finally delivered his first project on his own — an EP titled Happy — in November of last year. While he made fans hold on for years before sharing something under his own name, he has quickly followed that success up with his brand new effort, Echo.

The project arrived on Friday (May 16), and fans were clearly eager to hear more from the singer. They collectively quickly turned both the release and several of its tracks into bestselling hits across the United States.

Jin’s Echo Almost Hits No. 1

Echo currently sits at No. 2 on the iTunes Top Albums chart. That will likely be its loftiest placement — at least for the next few hours or even days — as it is currently stuck behind what will surely be one of the most successful releases of 2025.

Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem shot right to No. 1 the moment it became available at midnight, and the set is unlikely to budge anytime soon. Jin rising as high as No. 2 is still quite the win for him, since he’s also beating several other exciting new drops from the likes of Linkin Park, Sleep Theory, and Britney Spears.

“Don’t Say You Love Me” Approaches the Top 10

Jin performs especially well on the iTunes Top Songs list, too. All seven tracks featured on Echo are selling well on their own, in addition to being part of the complete collection. As of the time of writing, Jin sits just below the top 10 with “Don’t Say You Love Me.” That tune has been selected as the single from the EP and is thus gaining the most attention. At present, it appears at No. 11, but it could easily rise in the coming hours.

All of Jin’s Echo Songs Chart

The other half-dozen tracks from Echo aren’t far behind the lead cut. “Nothing Without Your Love” enters at No. 17, while “Rope It,” “Background,” “Loser,” “With the Clouds,” and “To Me, Today” sit side by side between Nos. 19 and 23 on the ranking.

Jin faces even greater competition at the moment on the songs ranking than on the list dedicated to the bestselling albums in the country. Debuts from Volbeat, Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney, and Kesha are beating him, while Wallen also fills more than his fair share of spaces with I’m the Problem tunes.
