SONICUSDT perpetual contracts go live on Binance, offering flexible trading options for Sonic SVM.

Binance Futures announced SONICUSDT perpetual contracts on Jan. 8, 2025, at 15:00 (GMT+8), offering up to 75x leverage. These contracts will be settled every four hours in USDT, with funding rates capped at ±2.00%. This launch introduces an option for trading Sonic SVM (SONIC), a chain extension on the Solana network designed for applications and games.

SONIC is built using the Sonic HyperGrid Framework, which enhances the Solana (SOL) ecosystem by processing a high volume of requests per second for games and applications while settling transactions on the SOL mainnet. SONIC also includes features such as support for the TikTok application layer in Web3 and aims to onboard more users into the SOL ecosystem.

SONICUSDT perpetual contracts are available for 24/7 trading and do not have an expiration date. These contracts are compatible with Binance’s multi-asset margin model, allowing traders to use assets like Bitcoin to meet margin requirements.

The availability of SONICUSDT on Binance Futures does not guarantee that it will be listed on Binance Spot. Parameters such as funding rates, leverage, and margin requirements may be adjusted based on market conditions.

Binance encourages users to review the platform’s announcements and policies to stay informed about updates to trading options and token ecosystems.
