Beats of Relief: BlissTrax Turns Stress Into a Moving Meditation

BlissTrax uses sound-engineered playlists to transform everyday movement into a meditative experience, offering a new way to manage stress

Wellness app BlissTrax is wagering that the next frontier in stress relief isn’t stillness but motion set to music.

Built on custom sound technology and binaural beats developed by sound engineer Cory Allen, the app offers 33-minute playlists that pair rhythm with movement, designed to induce a meditative (but alert) state. Each session is timed to match a standard treadmill workout, complete with warm-up and cool-down periods and promises to turn a typical walk or run into something more intentional. By syncing audio with a user’s pace, BlissTrax taps into meditative brainwave patterns to promote clarity and calm, whether on a treadmill or simply moving through everyday life.

Founder and CEO Philip Trapkin said the idea for BlissTrax originated from his own experience syncing music to his running pace, which he found elevated his experience. Two decades later, BlissTrax intends to provide a solution for individuals seeking to manage stress without overhauling their schedules.

“Our innovative team has worked to create something that allows people to incorporate sound into their daily lives and improve their mental and physical well-being,” Trapkin said. “Twenty years after the story started, we’re excited to finally share something that can help an increasingly stressed world population lead healthier, happier and gentler lives.”

The app, now available after a beta phase, reported that more than half of early users experienced better sleep within three weeks, based on feedback from a small consumer test group. BlissTrax is priced at $6.99 per month following a 30-day free trial.
