Anytime Fitness Singapore has opened its 125th location after adding eight new clubs in the first quarter, expanding its footprint across residential neighborhoods, commercial hubs and central districts.
The fitness operator, which recently made membership pricing readily available online, says it is on pace to expand to 200 clubs over the next decade.
“We are thrilled to achieve this milestone so early in 2025,” said Johannes Raadsma, president and co-founder of Inspire Brands Asia, the master franchisee of Anytime Fitness in Asia. “It reflects the growing demand for accessible, flexible fitness solutions and our dedication to making wellness convenient for all.”
Regarding the new transparent pricing, IBA COO Mark De Joya said the decision reflects evolving consumer expectations and makes it easier for prospective members to make informed decisions.
“By making pricing clear and accessible, we aim to create a seamless experience for prospective members,” De Joya said. “That way, they can explore their options and determine which fitness provider best matches their goals.”
The 24-hour gym brand has also upgraded its AF app for members.
“Our mission goes beyond opening clubs—we are committed to creating an inclusive and motivating environment where everyone feels supported in their fitness journey,” IBA co-founder and group CEO Luke Guanlao said. “We look forward to expanding further in 2025 and beyond, helping even more members take control of their health and fitness goals.”
Last month, the Global Wellness Institute spotlighted Singapore’s fast-growing wellness economy, which is expanding at an annual rate of 7.795. Notably, life expectancy in Singapore has increased by nearly 20 years in recent decades, earning the country sixth place among the world’s Blue Zones in 2023. A driving force behind the shift? Health and wellness have become national priorities in Singapore, with government policies increasingly focused on supporting long-term well-being.
In the U.S., Anytime Fitness operates more than 2,000 locations, and its smaller footprint and lower overhead costs make it an appealing franchise model, Rainier Companies vice president Jonathan Lo told Athletech News last fall. Rainier acquired Omega Fitness Holdings, one of the largest Anytime Fitness franchise groups in the country, in 2023.
He believes the brand has substantial room for growth, particularly in smaller towns and cities across the U.S.
