Activewear Meets Hospitality in Gympak’s Hotel Push

Hotels are lining up to partner with Gympak, drawn to its sustainable activewear kits and compact in-room fitness solutions to meet the needs of today’s wellness-focused traveler

Home Hotel 1624, a new hotel in Kongsberg, Norway, has tapped fitness and wellness company Gympak to incorporate the finer touches of well-being away from home.

The collaboration marks the first hotel in the Norwegian city—one famous for hiking, skiing and other outdoor adventures year-round—to integrate Gympak’s holistic wellness solutions.

The partnership gives Home Hotel 1624 guests access to Gympak’s wellness bags, packed with sustainable activewear that can be worn while using the hotel’s premium fitness gym or unwinding while taking in the views of the mountains and city.

For travelers, Gympak solves an all-too-common pain point: not having space in their luggage for workout clothes, not wanting sweaty activewear packed alongside other items or simply forgetting them altogether.

The wellness bags contain a t-shirt, shorts, sports bra, socks and a pair of elastic workout shoes, all crafted from functional materials and available in four sizes. The t-shirt and shorts can be custom-branded with a hotel’s logo, and the items can be washed and used up to 100 times—a nod to Gympak’s sustainability efforts.

“At Home Hotel 1624, we are dedicated to offering an exceptional experience to our guests, from our cozy rooms to our rooftop Sky Bar,” Home Hotel 1624 general manager Dana Ali said. “When we first discovered Gympak’s concept, it was clear that it aligned perfectly with our focus on wellness. It’s a perfect addition to our service offering.”

In addition to Gympak’s wellness bags, the Swedish-born wellness concept can also provide hotels and resorts with its training and mental coach app with more than 200 programs so guests can re-energize and sleep better. Streamlined, in-room fitness equipment, including a yoga mat, soft medicine ball, elastic band, foam roller and abdominal wheel, is also available.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Home Hotel 1624, a hotel that shares our vision of combining wellness with top-notch service,” Gympak CEO Jone Sølvik said. “This partnership offers guests an experience that is both refreshing and rejuvenating.”

Home Hotel 1624 joins a growing list of hotels with which Gympak has recently partnered, including Hótel Ísland in Reykjavik, Home Hotel Tollboden in Norway, and Aminess Khalani Hotel in Croatia.
