Matrix Fitness has a pulse about what luxury travelers actually want, and a London hotel is proving it right.
The premium commercial fitness equipment maker just renewed its partnership with the International Luxury Hotel Association for a second year, deepening its push into upscale wellness tourism as it expands into high-end hotels, spas and cruise lines.
Through the partnership, Matrix works with hotel owners, operators and developers across the ILHA network on fitness equipment and wellness programming.
It’s one that has paid off at Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge, which upgraded its fitness center with Onyx Collection, a five-machine collection known for its oversized touchscreen consoles, immersive content and haptic interactive controls.
“We have had guests specifically mention the gym as a reason for rebooking, which speaks volumes about the impact of the upgrade,” general manager Marie Laure Fleury said.
The property marks the U.K.’s first complete Onyx Collection installation.

Guests will find Matrix’s Ultra Strength equipment, a dedicated functional training area for small group sessions, Virtual Training Cycles for immersive instructor-led and on-demand workouts, Sprint 8 HIIT and Virtual Active destination training and an expanded free weights area with ambient lighting.
The effect feels less like a hotel gym and more like a luxury fitness operator, a deliberate choice, according to Fleury.
“The equipment offers exceptional performance while complementing the elegant, contemporary aesthetic of our wellness space and our award-winning spa,” she said. “It enhances the overall ambiance and aligns perfectly with the level of luxury our guests expect.”
