Connected fitness company iFIT is taking its brand to the reality TV stage in a new competition show to test physical endurance and mental strength.
Starting January 8, 2026, Amazon Prime Video subscribers can watch “Trainer Games,” a six-episode reality competition series where 10 competitors work through challenges on the island of Mauritius, located in the Indian Ocean.
IFIT will produce the show alongside Sony Pictures Television – Nonfiction and Brass Monkeys Media, under their overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, who also distributes the series.
“Trainer Games embodies everything iFIT stands for — elite coaching, real transformation and unforgettable experiences,” said chief subscription and content officer at iFIT and Trainer Games executive producer, Jeremy McCarty.
“It’s engaging from the very first challenges with athletes battling through unpredictable challenges, surprise twists with the pressure of competing for the most sought-after job in fitness: becoming an iFIT Trainer,” McCarty added.
Each episode requires contestants to power through extreme physical tests measuring strength, agility, stamina and determination.
They’ll also experience mentorship throughout the competition from select iFIT trainers, including Hannah Eden, Ashley Paulson and John Peel to help guide contestants through the demanding workouts and challenges.
The winner will earn the title of “Trainer Games” Champion, a $250,000 contract and a spot on iFIT’s global trainer team.
The show will be hosted by TV host, actress and celebrity fitness entrepreneur Amanda Kloots, with executive producers Nick Rigg (The Flip Off, Americans Big Deal, Tiny House Nation), showrunner Fred Pichel (Top Chef, Undercover Boss, The Amazing Race) iFIT’s Michael Hamblin, and Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman on behalf of SPTNF.
“Trainer Games is an extraordinary athletic endeavor and, alongside iFIT, we’ve built a series that merges elevated competition with authentic transformation,” said Rigg. “We can’t wait for audiences to witness these remarkable athletes on this journey.”
The foray into entertainment is on-brand for a connected fitness company looking to shift how its users train, known to embrace in-person events and social media to foster deeper connections with its instructors.
Meanwhile, iFIT continues expansion in popular fitness modalities like Pilates, following its recent acquisition of Reform RX and launch of its premium line of fully connected reformers, the NordicTrack Ultra Reformer Series.
