CR Fitness will add nine new locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by 2026, an expansion that includes backing by NFL star Dak Prescott
CR Fitness, the largest franchisee of high-value, low-price (HVLP) gym brand Crunch Fitness, is continuing to extend its footprint, with plans to open nine new locations in Texas by the end of 2026. Those locations are backed by a team including Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who joined the franchisee last year.
As of now, CR Fitness has 88 clubs open, but the upcoming locations bring it even closer to its goal of 100 Crunch gyms by 2026. Those include recently opened locations in Hallandale, Florida, and Duluth, Georgia, which welcomed members in September.
The franchisee operates seven clubs in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area already, with the nine planned openings located in Grand Prairie, Central Forest, Summer Creek, Saginaw, Forney, Rowlett, McKinney, Benbrook and Golden Triangle, bringing the area total to 16 by 2026.
The DFW region is a key market for CR Fitness and Crunch, with the expansion expected to bring over 600 new jobs to the area.

The Forney and Saginaw locations will introduce Crunch’s new 3.0 design in $12 million, 35,000 square-foot upgraded facilities, with higher quality strength and cardio equipment, a dedicated group fitness studio and more.
Other Crunch franchisees are expanding as well. Primetime Fitness recently added 13 new locations to New York and New Jersey — facilities that were all slated for upgrades as well.
