The luxury hotel is integrating Bon Charge’s recovery devices into its Hyde Park London property as demand for wellness travel grows

Forget the minibar. Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London guests can now enjoy a red light therapy session in their rooms, thanks to a new partnership with wellness tech brand Bon Charge.

The collaboration was unveiled earlier this month at a breakfast press event in London and is part of Mandarin Oriental’s push to elevate guest wellness experiences. Bon Charge products will be available both in the spa and as part of the in-room menu, allowing guests to order devices directly to their rooms for private use.

The lineup includes Bon Charge’s Infrared PEMF Sauna Dome, Red Light Therapy Blanket, Red Light Therapy Super Max Panel and Red Light Face Mask, with more expected to follow.

“Travellers today are seeking more than just beautiful surroundings — they want experiences that actively support their well-being,” Bon Charge co-founder and chief visionary officer Katie Mant said. “By integrating Bon Charge’s science-backed portfolio, such as red light wellness technologies, into the Mandarin Oriental guest journey, we’re bringing evidence-based wellness into a luxury setting. It means guests can further indulge in supporting their circadian rhythm, enhance recovery and feel truly revitalized during their stay.”

The move comes as wellness tourism surges and red light therapy gains mainstream traction, with luxury hotels racing to bring recovery-focused tools into their properties.

Bon Charge’s global trend report, released earlier this year, shows that younger consumers are driving adoption, particularly in the UAE, where seven in ten adults report using the technology. Among 18- to 34-year-olds, 53% in the U.S. and Australia and 46% in the U.K. are actively engaging with red light devices.

“Our mission has always been to create products that blend seamlessly into people’s lives while delivering real, measurable benefits,” Bon Charge co-founder and CEO Andy Mant said. “Working with Mandarin Oriental is a natural alignment. Together, we can offer guests cutting-edge wellness experiences that support better sleep, recovery and overall vitality.”
