Tapping into the rise of longevity, wellness real estate and AI-powered self-care, Deepak Chopra and Appellation are creating a new kind of retreat in Utah
Appellation, a hotel brand founded by chef Charlie Palmer and hospitality veteran Christopher Hunsberger, is partnering with wellness expert Deepak Chopra to launch a $180 million wellness community set on 78 acres in Midway, Utah, home to 28 mineral springs and views of the Wasatch Mountains.
Unveiling in 2026, Ameyalli Park City by Appellation will feature an 80-room upscale hotel, a state-of-the-art well-being center and multiple dining concepts led by Palmer. The project comes amid rising interest in wellness tourism and real estate, as consumers look for experiences and spaces that blend nature with holistic living.
According to Globetrender, the development will also serve as the North American headquarters of the Chopra Foundation and a hub for Chopra’s latest initiatives in digital health, longevity science and AI-powered well-being. The site will include 24 private villas, cottages and family lodges offered through full and fractional ownership models.

“Collaborating with Appellation aligns with my vision of creating spaces where well-being, consciousness and technology converge,” Chopra said. “By integrating best-in-class AI, holistic well-being practices and authentic culinary experiences, Ameyalli will offer guests a transformative journey toward self-discovery and renewal. Together with Appellation’s support, we are crafting sanctuaries that embody the essence of connection, community and conscious living.”
The resort will include the Ameyalli Center of Excellence, a Chopra Foundation–backed facility dedicated to personal growth and longevity. The well-being center will offer multisensory treatments and programs grounded in Chopra’s Seven Pillars of Well-being.
As first reported by Globetrender, the center will also serve as a base for health-focused research, where collaborators will be invited to live, teach and conduct studies. Plans include the exploration of ambient computing and AI technologies, including a tool known as Digital Deepak AI, a personalized wellness and spiritual guide designed to integrate with devices like the Oura Ring to provide real-time feedback and support.
Appellation will oversee hotel operations, including a Charlie Palmer restaurant and bar, an additional farm-to-table concept and the broader guest experience. The brand, which takes a culinary-first approach to hospitality, plans to integrate Midway’s local food culture and artisan community into programming across the site.
“Our name, Appellation, means ‘to give a name to a place,’ reflecting our commitment to infusing locally rooted experiences into every hotel we operate,” Palmer said. “At Ameyalli, this will mean integrating the wellness philosophies of Deepak Chopra while celebrating the bounty of Utah’s mountain valleys and spotlighting local purveyors of Midway and the Park City region throughout the resort’s culinary program.”
The project was envisioned by Utah developer Charles Heath and designed by architecture firm Overland Partners to reflect the surrounding geology, which has a preserved granite dome at the center of its property.
“We are honored to be part of the Ameyalli vision,” said Christopher Hunsberger, Appellation co-founder and chief operating officer and former Four Seasons president of the Americas. “This partnership allows us to offer guests a new sanctuary built upon the intersection of Appellation’s elevated and personalized hospitality and the transformative wellness programs of Ameyalli.”
