Hydrow brings the short-form mindset to fitness with Snack Rows, quick workouts that fit between Zoom meetings and afternoon coffee
In a world wired for speed and short attention spans, Hydrow is giving fitness the bite-sized treatment.
The Boston-based connected rowing brand is leaning into its “Snack Rows” – five to 15-minute workouts that embrace the growing trend of “exercise snacks,” short bursts of movement designed to fit between Zoom calls, while the coffee brews or during a commercial break.
Notably, it’s a model that echoes the rise of short-form media, where TikTok and Reels easily capture audiences with fast, focused bursts of engagement. And in the fitness world, the science aligns. According to one study published earlier this year, short bouts of movement can regulate post-meal blood sugar, enhance fat oxidation and counter the effects of prolonged sitting.
The concept of Snack Rows resonates during a season when routines are in flux and schedules are packed. Non-intimidating and efficient, these workouts offer a flexible way to stay consistent.

For those tempted to try a Snack Row for themselves, Hydrow’s upcoming Summer Cyber Week sale, running July 29 through August 5, offers $400 off the Pro Rower and $150 off the Wave Rower.
At ATN’s recent Innovation Summit, Hydrow CEO John Stellato hinted at upcoming innovations and noted that the connected rowing company is excited about its technology in the strength area, with more to be revealed later this year. Last spring, Hydrow rowed into the booming strength and longevity markets with a majority stake in Speede Fitness, a strength training and analytics company.
Elsewhere in Hydrow’s orbit, the brand partnered with international private members club Soho House to bring its full-body, tech-enabled rowers to select locations worldwide.
