Circle of Games launches its web3-powered platform at Dubai’s Global Game Show, merging blockchain with casual gaming.

Dubai, UAE – Circle of Games (COG), a trailblazer in the multi-gaming space, has officially unveiled its web3-powered platform during the prestigious Global Game Show at Dubai’s Grand Hyatt Exhibition Centre. The platform, backed by industry heavyweights such as Nazara Technologies, The Hashgraph Group, Chingari, and XDC Ventures, merges blockchain technology with casual gaming, heralding a new chapter in the evolution of the gaming world.

A leap in gaming

COG’s new platform is designed to redefine the casual gaming experience by integrating blockchain features into an intuitive and engaging format. Yat Siu, Chairman of Animoca Brands, a key advocate of blockchain-based gaming, lauded the advancement.

He highlighted COG’s ability to connect the traditional gaming ecosystem with the decentralized potential of web3. Animoca Brands, renowned for its investments in blockchain projects and gaming enterprises, continues to play a pivotal role in fostering creativity across the gaming industry.

Gaming meets blockchain: A seamless experience

The platform debuted with six casual and hyper-casual games, including Ludo-Classic, Bubble Shooter, Chess, and Fruit Slash. Live demonstrations showcased how the user-friendly design eliminates the complexities of blockchain for players unfamiliar with the technology, offering a seamless transition into Web3 gaming. COG plans to expand its library to over ten games by Q1 2025, ensuring diverse and engaging options for its growing user base.

Strategic partnerships with prominent industry players have already positioned COG as a formidable contender in the casual gaming space. Currently, the platform boasts 500,000 active users, primarily on the Hedera blockchain, and aims to reach 25 million users globally by the end of 2025, with an ambitious goal of 100 million users by 2027.

The rise of gaming: A global phenomenon

Gaming has emerged as a dominant cultural and economic force, with casual gaming leading the charge as a gateway for new audiences. The integration of blockchain is poised to change this landscape, offering players unique ownership experiences and enhanced security. Platforms like COG are capitalizing on this trend by combining accessible gameplay with uniaue  technology, ensuring that casual gamers are not left behind in the web3 evolution.

Expanding into the MENA region

With its Dubai launch as a starting point, Circle of Games is eyeing a robust expansion across the MENA region. Plans are underway to establish a stronghold in the UAE by late 2024, followed by rollouts in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey, Egypt, and Morocco. By leveraging a localized approach, COG anticipates capturing 7.5 million users in the region by 2025, scaling to 25 million by 2027.

Leadership’s vision

Rabilal Thapa, CEO and Co-Founder of Circle of Games, expressed his commitment to transforming casual gaming:
“Our vision is to create a platform where blockchain technology enhances accessibility and engagement, enabling millions to explore the potential of web3. The MENA region represents a cornerstone of our global growth strategy.”

Collaboration and future opportunities

The event concluded with a vibrant networking session, uniting gaming, blockchain, and venture capital leaders. Discussions focused on the transformative role of web3 in casual gaming and its potential to redefine industry norms.

As gaming continues to ascend as a global entertainment powerhouse, platforms like Circle of Games are at the forefront, pioneering solutions that cater to the evolving demands of players and technology enthusiasts alike.
