Hall of Fame quarterback and broadcaster Terry Bradshaw hasn’t been an Aaron Rodgers fan for quite some time.
When Rodgers lied about his vaccination status in 2021, then tested positive for COVID-19 and missed a game, Bradshaw had this to say.
“It would have been nice if (Rodgers) would have just come to the Naval Academy and learned how to be honest,” Bradshaw said while the FOX NFL Sunday crew did a pregame show from the Naval Academy. “Learned not to lie. Because that’s what you did Aaron. You lied to everyone.”
Bradshaw was back at it Tuesday.
Bradshaw, who led Pittsburgh to four Super Bowl championships, said the following about Rodgers potentially joining the Steelers.
“That’s a joke. That to me is just a joke,” Bradshaw told radio station 103.7. “What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.”
The 41-year-old Rodgers spent his first 18 seasons in Green Bay where he won four MVPs and led the Packers to a Super Bowl win in 2010. He also had countless playoff failures after winning his lone Super Bowl.
Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets before the 2023 campaign, but lasted just four snaps that year before tearing his left Achilles.
Rodgers played a full season in 2024, but had his lowest passer rating (90.5) since becoming a starter in 2008. The Jets also had a miserable season going 5-12 and firing head coach Robert Saleh after just five games.
Rodgers was then released by the Jets on March 12, marking the end of his forgettable two-year tenure with the team.
It’s been widely rumored for several weeks now that Rodgers will eventually sign with Pittsburgh.
If Bradshaw has his way, though, that certainly won’t be the case.
