Discover Puerto Rico, the island’s destination marketing organization, has teamed up with mental health company Calm to launch a collection of Puerto Rico-themed audio experiences on the popular meditation app.
The campaign, timed to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month, features guided meditations, soundscapes, a Sleep Story and other immersive audio content recorded on the island, available in both English and Spanish.
The centerpiece of the initiative is “Adventures in Puerto Rico,” a Sleep Story voiced by the award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda. The Pulitzer Prize-winner narrates an audio tour that blends personal anecdotes with references to the island’s tourism highlights, from the streets of Old San Juan to the shores of Flamenco Beach.
“Puerto Rico is where my roots are, where my family is, and where I go to feel grounded,” Miranda said. “Recording this Sleep Story allowed me to share the magic of the Island in a new way: through its sounds, its stories, and the quiet beauty that fills every corner. Puerto Rico invites you to slow down, breathe deepl, and rediscover a sense of wonder. I hope listeners feel that peace, and that pull to explore it for themselves.”
Beyond Miranda’s Sleep Story, the collaboration includes a broader portfolio of audio content aimed at showcasing Puerto Rico’s natural wonders. Among the offerings: a body scan meditation set on a Puerto Rican beach, a walking meditation through El Yunque National Forest and a rainforest soundscape featuring the island’s iconic coquí frogs. A guided breathwork session, known as a Breathe Bubble, is set against the backdrop of Vieques’ beaches.

Through these immersive audio experiences with Calm, visitors can feel the Island’s magic before they arrive, inspiring them to prioritize their mental health and their next great adventure.”

Earlier this year, Hilton Hotels and Calm partnered to bring mindfulness and sleep content via Hilton’s Connected Room Experience technology, treating guests to a selection of guided meditations, Sleep Stories, soundscapes and mindfulness exercises from their in-room TV.
