Hotworx, a 24-hour infrared fitness studio franchise, will donate more than $19,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support military women undergoing breast cancer treatment.
The funds were raised through the company’s inaugural “Workouts for Heroes” campaign, which allowed members to dedicate workouts to veterans by purchasing Dedication Ribbons at local studios. Proceeds will benefit NBCF’s Military Women’s Patient Relief Fund, which provides critical assistance to breast cancer patients with military backgrounds.

A check presentation event is scheduled for April 30 at ’s Waxahachie Marketplace studio in Texas. The event will also feature a book signing by Hotworx founder and CEO Stephen P. Smith, author of Hot Exercise.
Smith, who previously founded Planet Beach, launched Hotworx as a franchise in 2017 after inventing a patented infrared fitness sauna. His background includes collegiate and arena football, bodybuilding championships and nearly three decades in franchising. Under his leadership, Hotworx has expanded to over 700 studios with a membership base exceeding 250,000.
This donation follows other charitable initiatives by Hotworx, including raising $28,000 for NBCF during its “Pink Camo” towel promotion in October 2024. The “Workouts for Heroes” campaign, introduced in December 2024, expanded on the company’s earlier “Hiking for Heroes” effort, supporting veteran families through partnerships with organizations like Sacred Mountain Retreat Center.
Recently, Hotworx marked Stress Awareness Month with a limited-time offer of 50% off enrollment fees. The company highlighted the stress-reducing benefits of its infrared sauna workouts, which combine heat exposure with guided isometric and High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).
Financial details beyond the announced donation amount were not disclosed.
