The festival celebrated Latinx culture and the power of movement

On April 12th, the Botanical Garden of Caguas hosted Me, Myself & I, Puerto Rico’s immersive wellness and movement festival. Now in its tenth year, the event was a celebration of movement, mindfulness and community.

This year, Peloton instructors Camila Ramón, Mariana Fernández and Rad Lopez joined the lineup, bringing cultural connection to the event. Athletech News spoke to Camila about her experience leading classes in the community she calls home.

“I’m so excited to be here, especially because I get to do this in Puerto Rico — where my roots are,” she told ATN. “To teach in front of a live crowd, in a place where wellness isn’t always talked about and to feel the energy from the people here, is a dream come true.”

Camila’s classes, one focused on core strength and another targeting the lower body, were designed to be simple but effective, with no equipment required.

“It’s all about connecting with your body in a way that feels good for you,” Camila explained. “You don’t need fancy equipment or a gym to feel strong and capable. You just need yourself.”

Camila stressed the importance of the emotional and mental aspects of fitness too. “Movement is healing,” she said. “It’s not just about how your body looks; it’s about how you feel and how movement can clear your mind and make you feel alive.

While fitness classes were a major part of Me, Myself & I, the event also created space for deeper conversations around mental health, self-care and the power of community. Attendees could dive into journaling and mindfulness practices, as well as high-energy workouts and open discussions about the challenges of staying well.

Event founders Melissa Jiménez and Nicole Bosch created the festival as a way to provide a platform for wellness that felt inclusive, real and rooted in culture. “It’s about more than just fitness,” Melissa said. “It’s about helping people connect to themselves and each other in a way that feels authentic and accessible.”

Camila often shares stories about her personal journey with fitness with her community at Peloton. “I didn’t always know this would be my path,” she said. “For me, fitness became a tool for healing after I went through some difficult life changes. It gave me a way to not only get stronger physically, but mentally and emotionally too.”

Coinciding with Me, Myself & I was the launch of Peloton’s latest brand campaign, “Find your push. Find your power.” The campaign’s third phase, which highlights how different life events can inspire people to start their fitness journeys, aligns with the festival’s message. In particular, the new hero film, “Run It Off,” shows how a breakup can lead someone to discover the power of movement.

“We all go through tough moments and sometimes it’s in those moments that we find our strength to keep moving forward,” Camila said. “Whether it’s fitness, meditation, or community, we have to find what helps us get through and build ourselves back up.”
