Five Indian films and one Indian web series have made it to the latest list of most-watched non-English content on Netflix. Hindi films Emergency and Azaad, along with the Indian original web series Khakee The Bengal Chapter have made it to the Netflix top 10 lists. The Tamil film Dragon and Malayalam movie Officer On Duty also ranked on the lists.
Four Indian Films, One India-Original Web Series On Netflix Global Top 10
Hindi films Emergency and Azaad made it to the list of most-watched non-English films on Netflix for the second consecutive week this time. Malayalam movie Officer On Duty and Tamil film Dragon also ranked on the list for the week ending March 23. The Netflix India original web series, Khakee The Bengal Chapter also secured a spot on the list of the most-watched non-English shows on the latest Netflix list.
Officer On Duty on Netflix Top 10

Jithu Ashraf’s Officer On Duty landed on Netflix on March 20 and has already made it to the fifth slot on Netflix’s list of most-watched non-English films this week. It clocked in 5.9 million watch-hours and 2.6 million views on Netflix in just three days on the platform. It also ranked among most-watched films on Netflix in Bangladesh, India and Bahrain for the week.
Directed by Jithu Ashraf, Officer On Duty features Kunchacko Boban, Priyamani, Vishak Nair and Jagadish in important roles. The film focuses on a cop who heads a routine investigation in counterfeit jewelry but needs to take on a larger criminal syndicate in the process. The film received critical acclaim for Boban’s performance and cinematography. However, the writing was widely criticized for being superficial. Officer On Duty hit theatres on February 20 this year and collected more than $6 million at the box office to become the second-highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025.
Dragon on Netflix Top 10

Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Tamil film Dragon landed on Netflix on March 21. It registered 2.1 million views and 5.4 million watch-hours on the platform in just a few days. Featuring Pradeep, Anupama Parameswaran and KS Ravikumar, Dragon is the seventh most-watch non-English film on Netflix worldwide this week. It also topped the list of most-watched films in Sri Lanka and India.
Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film has been written by Pradeep Ranganathan along with director Marimuthu. When it released in theatres last month, it collected a little short of $20 million at the box office. Currently, Dragon is the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025.
Emergency on Netflix Top 10

Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency maintained a spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched non-English films for the second week in a row. In its second week on the platform, the film slid one spot and emerged as eighth most-watched non-English film for the week ending March 23. Emergency, which had a digital release on March 14, registered 1.9 million views and 4.6 million watch-hours for the week. It ranked as third most-watched movie in India on the platform for the week.
Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut wrote and directed the historic film on India‘s first woman prime minister, Indira Gandhi. Ritesh Shah (Sardar Udham, Azaad, Dahaad) co-wrote the film with Ranaut who also plays the lead role of the former Indian prime minister. Anupam Kher, along with Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Choudhary, Satish Kaushik, Milind Soman, and Vishak Nair also star in Emergency. It saw a lukewarm response at the box office when it released in theatres on January 17.
Azaad on Netflix Top 10

The Bollywood debut of Ajay Devgn’s nephew Amaan Devgn and Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani – Azaad – had made it to Netflix’s weekly list of most-watched non-English films. With 1.8 million views and watch-hours, the film made it to the ninth spot on the list for the week ending March 23. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film also stars Ajay Devgn and Diana Penty. It emerged as the fourth most-watched film on Netflix in India.
Azaad debuted on Netflix on March 14 and soon made it to the top ten most-watched non-English films on the platform. Set in the 1920s British India, the film was widely panned for a lack of emotional depth when it hit theatres in January 2025. It also had a dull run at the box office.
Khakee The Bengal Chapter

Written and created by Neeraj Pandey, the new Hindi cop saga Khakee: The Bengal Chapter made it to Netflix’s list of most-watched non-English web show on the platform this week. It recorded 9.2 million watch-hours and 1.6 million views on the platform in the week ending March 23. With a March 20 digital premiere, the show registered those numbers in just three days.
Directed by Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray, Khakee The Bengal Chapter is a standalone sequel to the 2022 Netflix show Khakee The Bihar Chapter. Unlike the first season of the show, Khakee The Bengal Chapter is a fictionalized version of how cops generally work in the system. Bengali actors Parambrata Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Jeet and Prosenjit feature in prominent roles in the show along with Ritwik Bhowmik, Pooja Chopra, Mimoh Chakraborty, and Shraddha Das. Actor Chitrangada Singh is also seen Khakee The Bengal Chapter which made it to the Netflix global top 10 list this week.
