Jennie’s “Like Jennie” debuts at No. 3 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., breaking a tie with … More Blackpink and Lisa to become the top soloist from the group. Jennie is already one of the most recognizable K-pop stars in the music world, thanks in large part to her work with Blackpink. Over the past few years, she’s also carved out a solo path that has proven to be incredibly successful, and this week, she breaks a chart tie with the group that helped make her a household name.

As her new single “Like Jennie” opens inside the highest tier on one of Billboard’s most competitive global charts, Jennie steps ahead of not just her band, but also her groupmate Lisa, as she’s now in a league of her own when it comes to solo success.

“Like Jennie” Debuts At No. 3

Jennie’s recently-promoted solo single “Like Jennie” opens at No. 3 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. ranking. The tally ranks the most-consumed songs in the world using a formula that blends streaming and sales data. As its name makes clear, all activity from the United States is removed from consideration, making this a snapshot of what the rest of the world is listening to.

Jennie Earns Her Fifth Top 10 Hit As A Soloist

As “Like Jennie” launches inside the top 10, Jennie now claims her fifth solo hit on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. She topped the tally back in 2023 with “You & Me,” which remains her lone No. 1 on the roster.

The K-pop and fashion icon nearly returned to the summit in October 2024 with “Mantra,” but that track stalled at No. 2. In addition to those smashes, she also reached the upper tier with “One of the Girls,” a collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, as well as “Spot!” with South Korean rapper Zico.

Jennie Breaks A Tie With Blackpink And Lisa

Before “Like Jennie” arrived, Jennie was in a three-way tie with her group Blackpink and fellow member Lisa. All three had scored four top 10 hits on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. — an impressive feat for any K-pop act or soloist. Now, Jennie stands alone with five.

“Handlebars” Nearly Cracks The Top 10

“Like Jennie” wasn’t the only new release from the singer to reach the upper region of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. this week. “Handlebars,” a high-profile collaboration with Dua Lipa, starts at No. 15, falling just short of the top 10.

Several other cuts from her brand new solo album Ruby also appear on the roster. “Zen” lands at No. 75, while “Start a War” starts at No. 105. Two additional tracks, “Damn Right” with Childish Gambino and Kali Uchis (No. 148) and “With the I.E. (Way Up)” (No. 144), also make appearances.

That brings Jennie’s total number of appearances on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. to a round dozen, an impressive accumulation for any K-pop act, especially a solo star.
