Decades after its release, Creed’s “One Last Breath” is a smash again, topping Hard Rock Streaming … [+]
After falling out of popularity and seemingly becoming yet another cascualty in a long another rock bands whose heyday had passed, things turned around for Creed. A year or two ago, the group’s music began gaining ground on the charts and rising in popularity, and that trend has not yet stopped.
Listeners in America have been revisiting the hard rock outfit’s greatest hits for many months at this point, and it’s not unusual to see Creed’s name in the highest reaches of some of Billboard’s genre-specific rankings. Interest is focused on the outfit’s singles-packed compilation, as well as a handful of tunes that have stood the test of time and, in some cases, are continuing to rise.
“One Last Breath” appears on half a dozen Billboard charts this week. The Creed tune grows on three of them, re-enters a pair, and holds steady at No. 1 on one list as it asserts itself once more as a huge smash in America.
“One Last Breath” Reaches a Never-Before-Seen Peak
Impressively, “One Last Breath” hits a new peak on two of the half-dozen lists on which it appears in America. It rises highest on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart, the ranking of the bestselling rock tunes throughout the nation. “One Last Breath” breaks back onto that tally at No. 13. In just its second week ever, the cut hits a never-before-seen high.
The same smash also pushes to a new peak position on the Rock Streaming Songs list. On that tally, it surges from No. 25 to No. 21, becoming one of the most-played rock tracks on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music throughout the U.S.
“One Last Breath” Returns to its All-Time High
“One Last Breath” keeps its previously-set high point on two other Billboard tallies. It leads the charge on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart yet again, and manages to find a home on the Alternative Digital Song Sales ranking once more, as it rocks its way back onto that list at No. 10.
Creed’s Favorite is Growing Everywhere
The same single appears on two other Billboard charts this time around, but it doesn’t manage to establish a new peak or return to its highest placement. Creed’s beloved composition grows on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales ranking (No. 5) and the Alternative Streaming Songs roster (No. 17).
